Music has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I love to play, sing and immerse myself in music on a daily basis.
When I was 11 I was offered a music scholarship to Bristol Grammar School. Throughout my years there I became a multi instrumentalist, and grew in confidence with my voice. I also had the opportunity to perform in many different orchestras and vocal groups.
Teaching was a natural progression for my career, and my private practice was complemented by my teaching role at Fairfield School, Backwell for 10 years, where I lead EYFS Music, the Little Voices Choir (Reception- Y2), Recorder and Keyboard Clubs and had two full days of peripatetic lessons. After the Fairfield closure in July 2025 I chose to dedicate my time solely to private practice. I have recently undertaken my CACHE Level 3 in Understanding Autism which has helped me to further enhance my work with students with ASD.
I can teach you to safely and successfully enhance your singing technique or learn to play piano, flute and recorder. I constantly engage in opportunities for CPD and further advancing my own pedagogy. Above all else, I LOVE TEACHING! It is a privilege and so enormously rewarding.
I also offer music workshops which can be delivered in schools, or to Brownie/Cub groups etc. I do not charge a fee for any workshops delivered to groups run solely by volunteers. I also offer two free lessons a week for children who would otherwise be unable to access a musical education.
Outside of my professional life I am a Mummy to Esme (14) and wife to Ryan.
I enjoy spending time with friends, eating good food and reading. Of course, this also includes making music!
Whether you are a beginner, a returner, in Reception or retirement, music is for everyone!
